Introductions

The Cats PJ, also known as Henry, is my car. It is my first car, and it is amazing. (Sometimes it's an "it", the Cats PJ, sometimes it's a "he," Henry.) Henry is an '89 Acura Legend. If you don't know much about cars, you might look at him and think he's nothing special. Or, if you're silly and sort of ignorantly shallow and in the habit of judging books by their covers, you might think he is crap. But you would be wrong.

Henry was brand new and absolutely state-of-the-art, top-of-the-line when my (technically step-) grandfather, Harry, got him. He is V6 2.7L, Persian Red with Charcoal Grey leather interior, and a power sunroof and windows. I'll bet you didn't even know they made sunroofs in 1989. I didn't even know they made automatic windows in 1989. But they did. Anyway, my point is that Henry is awesome in many silly and shallow ways--he has this great little feature right by the wheel that lets you change the volume or flick through your presets without reaching over to the radio--but he is also awesome in real, important car ways. He drives like a dream. His steering wheel feels incredibly fluid. You know when you are driving him that this is what a luxury car should feel like. This is the blog that will honor him; relate his stories, document the (many!) compliments I receive about him, and chronicle our adventures together until the end of his life (which, as he is 20 years old and living in Massachusetts, I fear may be approaching). "Legend" is an entirely appropriate model name for Henry--he is a beautiful machine and I love him to death.
